HOW TO...

1. BURN A CANDLE THE RIGHT WAY

Burning a candle is a simple pleasure that can add warmth and comfort to any room. But to get the most out of your candles, it's important to burn them the right way in the right conditions. Here are some tips for how to burn a candle the right way:

1.Trim the wick: Before lighting your candle, make sure to trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This will help prevent the flame from getting too large and causing the wax to melt too quickly.

2. Burn for the right amount of time: Candles should be burned for at least 2-4 hours to allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface. If you only burn your candle for a short amount of time, it can create a "tunnel" in the wax, which can lead to uneven burning and a shorter burn time overall.

3. Burn in a draft-free area: Candles should be burned in a draft-free area to prevent uneven burning and to keep the flame from flickering. A draft can also cause the wax to melt too quickly and create a dangerous situation.

4. Keep away from flammable objects: Candles should be kept away from flammable objects such as curtains, paper, or furniture. Always make sure your candle is on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never leave it unattended.

5. Extinguish safely: When it's time to put out your candle, use a snuffer or gently blow it out. This will help prevent hot wax from splattering and creating a fire hazard.

By following these simple tips, you can enjoy your candles safely and make them last longer. So go ahead, light up your favorite scent, and bask in the cozy glow!

I had to put my candle out before it reached a full melt pool, how do I fix the tunnelling?

It’s actually very simple! Wrap your candle in tinfoil and let it burn until it reaches a full melt pool. Extinguish the flame and wait for it to cool before removing the tinfoil. Please do not remove it while it’s still hot!

2. CLEAN OUR CANDLE JARS FOR RE-USE

Once there is about 3mm of wax left, stop using the candle. Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks and any labeling. Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks/wick stickers with a plastic utensil (discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down the drain as it can clog it). Then place the container in hot soapy water to soften any residue and labels. Wash it out good (may need a second wash to make sure all the residue is gone), rinse and dry. Now it is ready for it's second life! Use it as storage jars or as a small planter for those adorable succulents.

Note: we assume no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.

3. USE OUR WAX MELTS

1. Choose a wax melt: First, choose a wax melt with a fragrance you love. Wax melts come in a variety of scents and styles, so pick one that fits your preferences.

2. Prepare your wax burner: Place a tealight candle in the bottom area. Never use scented tealights in a wax/oil burner! As the scent is released it gets trapped in the burner and may catch fire. Place the wax melt in the top of the wax burner. Make sure the burner is on a flat and heat-resistant surface.

3. Heat up the wax melt: Light the tealight candle and allow the wax melt to melt completely. This can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the type of warmer and the size of the wax melt.

4. Enjoy the fragrance: Once the wax melt is melted, it will release its fragrance into the air. Enjoy the aroma as it fills the room.

5. Replace the wax melt: When the scent starts to fade (this can take up to 3 burns), blow out the tealight candle and allow the wax to cool and harden. Once the wax has hardened, it can be removed and replaced with a new wax melt.

6. Clean the wax warmer: To clean the wax warmer, wait until the wax has completely cooled and hardened. Then, use a paper towel to wipe out any remaining wax. You can also use a cotton ball or swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the warmer.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy the fragrance of wax melts in your home. Wax melts are a great alternative to candles as they are flame-free and can be used repeatedly.
