#1 NON TOXIC

Candles are made from different wax sources. Some carry scents better, some are friendlier to the environment, and some are downright dangerous. Soy candles benefits are plentiful - and they're the healthier option for candle lovers. We use only Pure Soy S100 wax which is slightly different to other soy wax blends that are available. This wax is not blended with any other elements besides soy, containing no other wax hardeners and no percentage of other waxes. This variety is as advertised; pure, premium and natural soy wax. Soy wax candles are nontoxic! Soy wax is a vegetable wax and does not release any toxins into the air. If you're concerned about the indoor air quality of your home, soy wax candles are the best option. And S100 Soy Wax Candles are our favorites!!

#2 CLEAN BURN

Unlike paraffin wax, which gives off black soot when burned, one of the big benefits of soy candles is that soy wax burns cleaner. Since paraffin wax is petroleum-based, burning it produces a black soot that can stain curtains, walls, and carpets inside the home. Plus, paraffin wax candles smell awful. As a vegetable-based wax, soy wax does not give off any harmful byproducts, and all you smell is its beautiful scent, a main reason for burning candles in the first place.

#3 ALL-NATURAL, RENEWABLE & VEGAN

Derived from the soybean, soy wax is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that turns to a solid at room temperature. You can even make your own soy wax from soybeans at home. Most farmers rotate their soybean crops with corn production, and the husks are used as animal feed; it’s renewable and environmentally efficient. The majority of the world’s soybeans are produced in the U.S., so if you’re reading this in the U.S., soy wax is also a strong domestic source. Since soy wax contains nothing artificial, it’s a much better alternative to old-fashioned paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum oil. Not surprising with what we know about petroleum, it produces harmful byproducts when burned or melted. Another alternative to paraffin is beeswax, but beeswax harms bees and their future. Many bees die when their honeycombs are melted for beeswax. How sad is that? So in my humble opinion - Soy wax is KING

#4 LESS LIKELY TO BURN YOUR SKIN

Ever drip hot wax on your hand? All that aromatherapy and ambiance go to waste with a scalding burn. From a safety standpoint, soy wax is the better choice, because it has a much lower melting point than paraffin. This means less risk of burns should you accidentally spill melted wax onto your skin. In fact…because soy wax has a low melt temperature, a lot of spas use the melted wax (unscented) as massage oil. You can even use the melted wax as a hydrating treatment for cuticles! Just dip your finger into the melted wax (after blowing out the flame of course) and rub the soy wax on your cuticles. It feels luxurious. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY FOR UNSCENTED SOY WAX CANDLES. ALTHOUGH WE USE SKIN SAFE FRAGRANCE OIL, THE PERCENTAGE IN THE CANDLES (6-10%) IS MUCH HIGHER THAN THE 2% INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR SKIN USE.

#5 COST-EFFECTIVE

While soy candles are sometimes more expensive than paraffin candles, they last up to 50 percent longer. This makes them more cost-effective. Furthermore, one of the big benefits of soy candles is that they burn more evenly. So, less wax is left clinging to the sides of the glass. Longer burn time and less wastage means you save more with longer benefits! How great is that!?

#6 GIVE A STRONGER SCENT

Because soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin wax, the scent from the natural fragrance oils is more pleasant and stronger-smelling. Paraffin candles and others that use chemical scents can produce harsh, unnatural smells. It’s common to hear people complain of headaches when paraffin candles burn. It’s due to the toxins paraffin releases into the air. Also, because soy wax burns at a lower heat and creates a larger melt pool, the oils evaporate better from a larger surface area, releasing more scent into the air! To conclude, soy wax offers many important benefits over paraffin wax, most you might not have realized! It’s better for your health…the air…AND the environment. Now when you see “soy wax” on the label, you’ll know what it means and why it matters.
